Your Gates and Channels – Your unique energy that gives a distinct voice to your self-expression. There are 64 Gates and 36 Channels. Below is an overview:
Finally, all of the Human Design Conscious and Unconscious Gates are organized by Astrological Symbol (the table to the right of your Human Design Birth Chart) into the 7 Axises of SElf-Mastery. Below are each of the 7 Axises of Self-Mastery and the Human Design astrological symbols that they are associated with:
- Axis #1 – Understand Your Life Purpose – North Node and South Node Gates
- Axis #2 – Lead Your Tribe – Sun/Leo and Uranus/Aquarius Gates
- Axis #3 – Empower Your Relationships – Mars/Aries and Venus/Libra Gates
- Axis #4 – Balance of Being and Doing – Moon/Cancer and Saturn/Capricorn Gates
- Axis #5 – Daily Service – Mercury/Virgo, Chiron, and Neptune/Pisces Gates
- Axis #6 – Transform Your Emotional Blocks – Venus/Taurus and Pluto/Scorpio Gates
- Axis #7 – Communicate Your Divine Message – Mercury/Gemini and Jupiter/Sagittarius Gates
- Prepare Your Mind for Manifestation – Ground all of the 7 Axises of Self-Mastery above with your Human Design (HD) Type, Authority, Profile and Earth Gates
To illustrate how to use the 7 Axises along with your Human Design Gates, let’s continue the example from above.
The Gates that make-up the Channel of Versatility can also be found in the table to the right of the chart.
- Gate 35 “Gate of Progress” is found in the Unconscious Saturn, which is part of Axis #4 “Balance of Being and Doing”
- Gate 36 “Gate of Crisis Resolution” is found in the Conscious Earth, which is part of the final step to “Prepare Your Mind for Manifestation.” Note: Your Gates in the Conscious or Unconscious Earth are outside the 7 Axises of Self-Mastery because the energies of the Earth are where you ground ALL of your Human Design gates.
Next, in order to complete Axis #4, let’s add the other gates found in the Conscious Saturn and Conscious/Unconscious Moon:
- Conscious Moon – Gate 13.3 “Gate of The Listener”
- Unconscious Moon – Gate 57.4 “Gate of Intuitive Clarity”
- Conscious Saturn – Gate 45.4 “Gate of Gathering Together”
- Unconscious Saturn – Gate 35.2 “Gate of Progress”
Because Axis #4 is the “Balance of Being and Doing, each of these gates need to be expressed for the Individual to fully express his/her Unique Brilliance. Or in this case, me … since it is my Birth Chart we are looking at!
Both the Moon and Saturn have specific meanings that impact how the energies of the Gates express themselves… which explains why we are all so very different in our self-expression!
The Moon is your emotional security and is often seen as the Mother within you. Because of its close proximity to the Earth, the Moon is always impacting your emotions… as we all know the impact a Full Moon can have on our emotional wellbeing!
Saturn is the last visible planet to the naked eye… its impact is more long-term as it is a more slow-moving energy.
Saturn is known as the Planet of limitations and it governs time and your career. Saturn is also often seen as the Father within you.
By associating each Human Design gate with each of these particular Astrological Symbols, the 7 Axises of Self-Mastery gives us a unique viewpoint of who you are designed to be!
Or what I love to call your personalized “Unique Brilliance Blueprint”!
For example, let’s look at my gates in the Moon and Saturn for how I can specifically “Balance Being and Doing.”
Given my gates in the Moon, my emotional security comes from listening to my intuition. With these energies, I’ve found my unique expression to be powerful when I attune to a deeper level of listening. It’s more than hearing what people say but rather what they mean… and trusting my intuition or the “unseen” wisdom that simply flows into my awareness when I am present to it.
Next with my gates in Saturn, I am designed to gather my tribe (Gate 45) together for progress (Gate 35).
Today, it’s apparent to me that I easily maintain a balance who I am with what I am doing WHEN I use my intuition to cut through the clutter and help my tribe awaken to their highest purpose.
But, that is after the healing and transformative work that I’ve done on myself.
Awakening to your Soul’s purpose is a process that can feel scary enough… and that is why you need a system to help guide you safely through the darkness.
